At 13, Summer is learning how to find herself, and find her way back into her family, after tragedy is the catalyst for moving to Australia. Gale skilfully captures the essence of Summer's grief and isolation, yet eschews woe. Instead she gives us a compelling plot of an unlikely friendship between Summer and Gabe that may hold the clues to what happened that fateful day (Libby)
