The Footy Kids series, written by Lorraine Wilson, was first published in the 1980s. It has been rebooted for 2015, with the picture books now brought into colour. There are brand new stories, illustrated by award-winning artist Dave Follett, which are sure to captivate the next generation of AFL fans. All eighteen picture books, one for each AFL team, follow a young footy fan's love for the game and, more importantly, the love for their team.
Lorraine has spent a lifetime working in education, as classroom teacher, curriculum assistant, deputy principal, and literacy consultant. She has written extensively for children and educators and is the recipient of Australian and American awards for her work in literacy. This is her fifth Footy Kids series. The series was first published in 1982.
